The University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP) seeks a physician for a position at the level of Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor to enhance an important clinical program.
Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician position requires candidates who have or are eligible for Illinois licensure, BC/BE in pediatrics and BC/BE in DBPeds or NDD. This pediatrician will support the continued development of several comprehensive service lines within the Division of Child Development and Rehabilitation. Candidates with scholarly and research interests are highly desirable, along with experience in teaching medical students and residents.
Position Summary: Provide care services to patients and instruction to learners focused on developmental delays, ADHD, or autism spectrum disorders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participate in undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education programs of the Department.
- Provide outpatient diagnostic and management services for patients in the region with general developmental delay, intellectual disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder.
- Organize and conduct research programs in developmental behavior pediatrics.
- Perform other duties of a University faculty member including committee assignments, curriculum development, student counseling, and administration.
- Help lead quality improvement projects for the division.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MD/DO or foreign equivalent
- Eligible for licensure in Illinois
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatrics and Development-Behavioral Pediatrics (DBPeds) or Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (NDD)
- 3 years Residency/3 years in Fellowship training DBPeds or NDD
Preferred Qualifications:
- Leadership in teaching residents and fellows in DBPeds of NDD patient care
- Experience in leading a team of providers in the interdisciplinary care of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
