Advanced Practice Provider Neurology (NP or PA)

Position Responsibilities:

Rehabilitation and neurological management with physician oversight.
APP must demonstrate knowledge and be familiar with the broad scope of rehabilitation and neurological principles.
Performs physical exams, initial and interim histories during clinic visits, admissions, discharges, and consultations.
APP should be comfortable learning procedures (i.e. baclofen pump refills, assist with botulinum toxin injections, interrogate vagal nerve stimulators).
Documents notes and findings to the electronic medical record for patient encounters.
Assists in research projects and educating students and residents rotating through the rehabilitation and neurology clinics.
Assists and supports the nursing staff with clinical questions/issues, prescriptions, follow-ups, consults, etc.

Education/Experience Requirements:

Must be a graduate of an AMA/CAHEA approved PA program or NP program.
Current NCCPA certification and Baccalaureate degree required.
Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners Licensure.
Advanced Practice Nurse must hold a current Texas APRN License and have graduated from a MSN program recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing Examiners.
Previous pediatric and/or rehabilitation/neurology clinical experience preferred.

Work Schedule and Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday | 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
