Statement
I am a clinician and work in both my professions: psychology and physical therapy. My work has included children and adults with cerebral palsy and other childhood onset conditions, parent consultation/counseling, and advocacy. As a psychologist I have performed assessments, using specialized tests and modified administration when needed. I have also provided play therapy and psychotherapy as well as guidance to parents, teachers, and direct care staff. My work as a physical therapist has included individual therapy, guidance of parents and teachers, and ordering of durable medical equipment. With help from advocates/lawyers, I have assisted families with advocacy for denied durable medical equipment and for appropriate educational services and supports. The ideal advisor/advisee relationship is based on the requests and needs of the advisee. I will be available for telephone and email contacts and to get together at AACPDM annual conferences.
