AACPDM Methodology for Systematic Reviews of Outcome Studies

The AACPDM Systematic Review Methodology is no longer supported and should not be used.

Those interested in developing a systematic review should consult the Instructions for AACPDM  Care Pathways Development 2020 Edition.  In Part I, Section 3, this document reviews general methodologic principles applicable to both systematic reviews and Care Pathways, and recommends specific tools and procedures to be used in their development.  In Part II, PHASE V and VI, the Instructions document provides further guidance specifically for development of systematic reviews of interventions, and references a companion document, the GDC-CP, which details each step in a checklist format.  Methodologies for development of non-intervention systematic reviews are referenced in Part I, Sections 3.4.6 (overviews) and in 3.4.9 (diagnostic test accuracy and prognosis).
