American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM) Advisor Program

The Membership Committee is pleased to announce the continuation of the ever popular AACPDM Advisor Support Program! This area of the website is for members who are interested in enrolling in the program as an Advisor or Advisee.

Advisors

If you are one of the AACPDM's long-standing members (10 or more years) and enjoy guiding young professionals early in their career, we would like to invite you to participate as an Advisor in the program.

We encourage you to connect with your Advisor/Advisee regularly throughout the year; once prior to the Annual Meeting via phone, email or video conference, and then periodically throughout the remainder of the year. We encourage you to consult with your Advisor/Advisee on topics such as how the Academy can help him/her with career development (ie. committee participation, grants and scholarships, networking and as a means of establishing life-long relationships with peers nationally and internationally). As an Advisor, you may also give advice on other areas of professional life and introduce your Advisee to successful colleagues for additional expertise. The ‘Advisor/Advisee’ relationship is not required to continue after the 1 year term, but if both parties agree to continue communication that would be a successful outcome of the program. Advisor enrollment for 2024 is closed.

Advisees

If you have been with the Academy for less than 5 years, we would like to give you the opportunity to take advantage of the knowledge of established Academy leaders (Advisors) and sign up to participate as an Advisee. This program has been well-received by all participants and we are hope to continue that success in 2024. Advisee enrollment closes March 20, 2024.
