What You Can do for the Endowment Fund and What It Can Do
for the Benefit of Children with Cerebral Palsy and Other
Developmental Disabilities

At the September 2003, meeting of the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine, the Board of Directors voted unanimously to contribute to the Endowment Fund. It was felt that it was an important statement to the membership that there would be 100% commitment of the Board and Past Presidents to this project to raise the principle of the Fund to $500,000. With this amount, the interest can be used to fund projects such as: scholarships for students and trainees to attend the Annual Meeting; $25,000 to support a detailed clinical trial research plan intended to help support activities for the development of a multi-center clinical outcomes grant; continued publication of evidence-based papers; and support to help professionals in developing countries disseminate current knowledge to their colleagues. There are other projects waiting to be funded. With your help, the goal can be met.
