Access Navigator Program- Looking for Volunteers!
The 2025 planning team is seeking volunteers for our pilot Access Navigator Program!
AACPDM is committed to accessible and robust scientific education for healthprofessionals and researchers, and our Annual Meeting is a key opportunity for this mission. Despite best efforts, intentions and planning – things come up at the Annual Meeting that require additional support to provide accessible participation. We are looking for volunteers to be part of the team as Access Navigators.
Members of Access Navigators are expected to attend a training on August 25, 4:00pm-5:00pm CT (virtually) to be orientated to the conference site, strategies already in place, and introductions to the AACPDM staff. At the conference, they’ll serve as a point of information, communicate any immediate issues to AACPDM staff, and in the moment problem solve.
Some Access Navigators will sign up for and attend education sessions and platform presentations to hold doors, observe room needs and be available for questions. Others may be sought to answer questions, provide input on creative solutions, and communicate immediate issues to the team.
