Spring into Technology! Enabling Children in Hospitals, Schools, and Beyond!
The American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM) is excited to announce our first ever Spring Symposium on May 3, 2023! Sessions will focus on assistive technologies in school and hospital based settings.
Registration prices include access to live courses on May 3, 2023, and access to the on-demand recordings until June 15, 2023. Registered individuals will get the opportunity to earn up to 4 CME/CEU.

The Road to Best Practice in School-Based Assistive Technology

Summary:
Assistive Technologies from a School-Based Perspective will provide participants with an overview in preparation to work with students who utilize a variety of assistive technologies in a school-based setting. This session will provide resources to implement assistive technology in schools, discuss barriers, and explore methods to overcome challenges. Multimedia assistive technology demonstrations, integration of research, and tangible assistive technology examples will be included to empower learners to support both assistive technology users at both the individual level and the community as a whole.

TEC: Technology Enabling Children (Reimaging Hospital Based Assistive Technology)

Summary:
Technology Enabling Children will provide participants with an overview of cutting-edge assistive technology currently available in a hospital setting. Hot topics and evolving trends will be explored and case-based examples will bring to life the benefits and challenges of using this technology within hospital-based rehabilitation. Examples of hospital structures that enable incorporation of technology while seamlessly connecting clinical care and research will be described with the sharing of practical tips and lessons learned. Finally, we will address issues regarding equity and access with concrete ideas for advocacy with evidence.

All requests for cancellation must be received in writing by May 1, 2023. A 75% refund will be granted for requests received before this date. No refunds will be granted after May 1, 2023. All refunds will be processed after the course takes place.

Cancellations of the Spring Courses activities by the AACPDM will result in all pre-registered attendees receiving a 100% refund.
