Message from Nienke Dosa
I am a developmental pediatrician at SUNY Upstate Medical University and medical director of the Spina Bifida Center of Central New York. I am also a Senior Fellow at Syracuse University’s Burton Blatt Institute. My academic work is focused on the development and evaluation of community-based models for developmental disability care, particularly as this relates to transition to adulthood and inclusive fitness. I work closely with faculty at SUNY Cortland’s Department of Adapted Physical Education on several adapted sports and health promotion programs for people with developmental disabilities. We host an annual “Fit-IN” conference to promote inclusive fitness in Central New York. More information is available at: FitnessInclusionNetwork.org. I would be happy to help with any aspect of career development..
