Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital announces a search for Department Chair of Pediatric Rehabilitation. Board Certified Pediatric Physiatrists are invited to explore this unique opportunity. The selected professional will have the opportunity to lead the Pediatric Rehabilitation group at a freestanding rehabilitation facility, Cleveland Clinic Children’s Rehab Hospital, dedicated to the care of children with chronic illness and disability. This team collaborates closely with other Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital specialists and is fully backed by the resources of the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic.

The ideal candidate should be a recognized leader within the field, an outstanding clinician, educator, and scholar, who supports research and education within the subspecialty and who can work collaboratively within an integrated, multi-specialty organization such as the Cleveland Clinic. Strong leadership competencies are key success elements for the role. Working with the Pediatric Institute Chair, the Department Chair will have ultimate responsibility for the clinical, educational, research, and fiscal oversight within the department in order to achieve personal and institutional success.

Applicants must be Board Certified in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine. A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with academic accomplishments is available at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Ample research opportunities are available within the Lerner Research Institute. Cleveland Clinic Children’s is consistently ranked as one of the best children’s hospitals in the United States by U.S. News & World Report and has 389 staffed beds, 25 of which are in our free-standing Children’s Hospital for Rehabilitation. The Children’s Hospital for Rehabilitation is the home of the nationally-renown Center for Autism, which includes a year-round school, and the ADHD Center for Evaluation and Treatment. The Children’s Therapy and Rehabilitation treatment and services includes inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation as well as a range of mental health services, including psych educational testing, evaluation and treatment of anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, depression, coping with medical illness, habit reversal training, bipolar disorder, biofeedback, bereavement, anorexia, adjustment disorders, and autism. Infants through children age 21 receive the appropriate treatment mix to overcome chronic medical challenges. We also offer a behavioral skills training program for Children with ADHD, an ADHD summer camp program and excellent parent training group programs.

Our Pediatric Rehabilitation group consists of two pediatric physiatrists, supported by nurse practitioners, care managers, nurses, therapists, psychologists, social workers and other professionals in numerous disciplines.
