Nemours Cerebral Palsy Tutorial: Orthopedic Management of the Child with CP

Join the Nemours Children’s Health faculty for two days, immediately preceding AACPDM 2026, for this in-person, review course of the orthopedic management of children with cerebral palsy. Registered attendees will have the opportunity to observe either the Gait Lab or scheduled surgeries. This tutorial will include multiple short lectures with comments and questions from attendees and multiple case presentations with discussion of treatment options.
Early and mid-career pediatric orthopedic practitioners treating children with cerebral palsy are encouraged to attend and learn more about:
- The global orthopedic management of the child with CP from diagnosis to skeletal maturity
- The importance of documenting physical function utilizing GMFCS system and its impact on treatment planning
- Recognizing and developing a treatment plan for hip dysplasia in pediatric CP patients at an early stage.
Creating Connections: Team Care in Pediatric Disabilities

This one-day, in-person course is co-hosted by Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM) and the Cerebral Palsy Foundation (CPF) invite you to register for “Creating Connections: Team Care in Pediatric Disabilities,” designed for local therapists, early intervention providers, and families, with CEUs available for professionals.
This event offers four parallel tracks focused on cerebral palsy assessment and early detection, management and decision-making, as well as movement and neuromotor disorders, and complex conditions across the lifespan. Participants will gain practical, evidence-based “pearls,” engage in interactive Q&A with regional, national and international experts, and leave with tools to strengthen coordinated, family-centered care for children and youth with developmental disabilities.
