AACPDM annual meeting

American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM) 2026 Annual Meeting

The American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM) looks forward to our 80th Annual Meeting!

Please join us as we gather for “80 years of Science: Rooted in Brotherly Love and Lifelong Community", September 27-30, 2026, in Philadelphia, PA. It is the 80th anniversary of the founding of AACPDM, thus poignant that we gather in Philadelphia, a place central to the foundation of the United States. We will be celebrating the history of our collective 'community' of persons with childhood-onset disabilities, caregivers, and professional providers over the past eight decades. Our meeting will be inspired by the city whose name is Greek for 'friendly city' and known for the LOVE statue.

This theme was selected because it exemplifies 80 years of the multi-disciplinary scientific professional education supporting persons with childhood-onset disabilities. Philadelphia's 'Rocky' steps are symbolic of the triumph of persons with disabilities. These lived experiences fuel the vision of the AACPDM to enhance the health and well-being of all persons with cerebral palsy and other childhood-onset disabilities across the lifespan. Gathering in the city of brotherly love, inspired by Rocky running the steps, we will together learn from different lived experiences, cultures and professions. As we engage as a community, enjoy the vibrant art scene, museums, history, and food of Philadelphia.

Here is to celebrating 80 years of the AACPDM community, learning, and fun in Philadelphia!

Best regards,
