Member Types
Fellow Members of the AACPDM are individuals with at least a Bachelor’s degree who have a significant interest as demonstrated by their work in cerebral palsy, developmental disorders and/or other childhood-onset disabilities. This category of membership encompasses applicants with any degree, who are no longer in training or full-time students.
International Corresponding Members of the AACPDM are professionals who hold at least a Bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent, in their home country. International Corresponding Members should have a significant interest in cerebral palsy, developmental disorders and/or other childhood-onset disabilities. To qualify as for this type of membership, the applicant must reside outside the United States or Canada. Applicants who meet these criteria may apply to become Fellow Members instead, if they choose.
Resident/Trainee Members are professionals attending post-entry professional training (i.e. residency, clinical fellowship, masters or doctoral programs) who have a significant interest as demonstrated by their work in cerebral palsy, developmental disorders and/or other childhood-onset disabilities. As part of the application, Resident/Trainee applicants must submit a letter of support from the supervisor of their fellowship or training program. Members may only be Resident/Trainee members for a maximum of two (2) years. After the two year period, membership will be updated to Fellow or Corresponding membership as appropriate.
Emeritus Members are current members of AACPDM in good standing, who have such status conferred on them because of they are 70 years old, because they have retired from active practice or because of other sufficient reason. Members who meet these criteria and would like to become Emeritus Members should contact the AACPDM office by email or phone.
