Message from Wendelin Burdo-Hartman, MD
I have been in practice for 25 years. Half of that time was as private practitioner in general pediatrics and then in neurodevelopmental pediatrics. I then changes to only take care of children with developmental disabilities. I started and ran the Neurodevelopmental Program at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan for 10 years and started an Intensive Feeding Program. I then took a position at Nationwide Children's Hospital/Ohio State University College of Medicine to develop a Feeding Program and practice in Complex Care. I have been on committees with the local AAP chapters and on the advocacy committee of AACPDM. I think I would be most helpful to a physician who is building a clinical/academic career.
