Scholarships

The American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine Scholarship Program supports the mission of the AACPDM to improve the health and general status of children and adults with cerebral palsy, developmental disorders and other childhood onset disabilities.

2010 Student Scholarship

The Academy seeks applicants who are full-time students or trainees to apply for this scholarship. Applicants must have submitted an abstract to the 2010 Annual Meeting. Preference will be given to applicants whose abstracts have been accepted.

Scholarship winners will receive:

  • Complimentary 2010 Annual Meeting registration
  • Four Complimentary Instructional Courses
  • Reimbursement for travel, lodging and food (reimbursement limit depends on amount of award; maximum reimbursement of $1000.00 USD)

The Academy has received additional scholarship funding, generously supported by Allergan, for medical students, residents and fellows who are living and studying in the United States. The scholarship application deadline for medical students, residents and fellows only has been extended to May 31, 2010. The deadline for all other scholarship applications was April 30, 2010.

2010 International Scholarship

The Academy seeks international applicants who are highly motivated, currently in clinical practice, and who are in a position which will enable them to disseminate knowledge acquired at the meeting to others in their home country once they return. Particular emphasis is placed on assisting those from areas with under-supported medical systems and limited financial resources.

Scholarship winners will receive:

  • Complimentary 2010 Annual Meeting registration
  • Four Complimentary Instructional Courses
  • Reimbursement for travel, lodging and food (reimbursement limit depends on amount of award; maximum reimbursement of $2500.00 USD)

Applications for the 2010 International Scholarship are now closed. The 2011 International Scholarship will open in December 2010.
