  Gillette is currently seeking a Clinical Scientist/Researcher. The incumbent in this position functions independently to improve patient care outcomes by designing, organizing, mentoring and conducting clinical research in the areas defined by the Neuroscience Designated Research Area (DRA) and the Bone and Joint DRA, utilizing an evidence based structure to establish scientific protocols and procedures. The incumbent also summarizes findings and publishes results in research journals; assumes general responsibility for scientific operations of investigations within the assigned DRAs; creates and supports processes to engage clinical staff in evidence based practice and research; provides supervision and guidance to staff researchers and teaches/mentors staff in research design, conduct and utilization.
  
  Requirements for the position include:
  • Ph.D., MD or candidate in a basic or health science, including education in the principles and methods of scientific investigation.
  • Working knowledge of scientific research design and statistical analysis.
  • Demonstrated success at research publication and grant writing.
  • Experience in a clinical setting.
  • Previous experience in data collection, preparation, analysis, interpretation, reporting and information display.
  • History of interdisciplinary collaboration.
