The Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel is recruiting for a BE/BC Developmental Pediatrician to work with our growing Pediatric Rehabilitation and Child Development Program. Our hospital-based team includes developmental pediatricians, Pediatric Physiatrists, Pediatric Rheumatologists and a Geneticist as well as Pediatric Neurology, Orthopedics and Neurosurgery.
The physician will serve as a Child Development Specialist seeing children with a broad range of developmental disorders with potential to participate in Autism assessment, NICU follow up, the Feeding Disorders Clinic, and the Cleft/Lip Palate Program.
The ideal candidate will have completed a fellowship in Child Development, plus have interests in neurodevelopment and diagnostics.
The Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel receives nearly 100,000 patient visits every year - and over the past 100 years, we've become Oregon's largest provider of pediatric inpatient and trauma services. So now, we're building a new home for The Children's Hospital. This new home, now under construction next to Emanuel Medical Center's Emergency Department, is a state-of-the-art, nine-story, 334,000+ square-foot tower, every inch of which is designed exclusively for the special health care needs of children.
This magnificent new freestanding facility will match the world-class care provided by The Randall Children's Hospital's physicians, nurses and other caregivers and will provide a safe, comfortable, and healing place for sick or injured children and their families.
When the doors open in early 2012, the new Randall Children's Hospital building will feature a dedicated Children's Emergency Department (CED), twice the size of the current CED, a new Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) with private rooms and sky bridge access to Labor and Delivery and the Family Birth Center, and a 24-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with large private rooms so parents and family can remain with their children and work closely with physicians and other caregivers during treatment. Four additional floors will provide private patient rooms for services such as Cardiology, Hematology/Oncology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Trauma, other pediatric specialties and Oregon's only CARF accredited inpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation program. All the rooms and workspaces, large enough to contain today's advanced medical technologies, are designed for efficient patient, family and caregiver workflow - all for the sake of healthy kids.
